SPICA - Way of Light University of Divinity

Level One - Bachelor of Spiritual Philosophy (B.SPh.)

The Bachelor’s of Spiritual Philosophy is considered a “post graduate” degree in that it is a specialty study program.  It is a prerequisite for individuals seeking the Master of Spiritual Philosophy and the Doctor of Divinity through SPICA - Way of Light.  Units required to complete the Bachelor’s Level program are one hundred twenty (120).

 

101:  Introduction and Legal and Spiritual Ethics - An introduction to the philosophy of SPICA - Way of Light University of Divinity, and the matriculation process through the educational program of the university will be discussed. This course covers the rules and regulations pertaining to classes, grades and credits necessary to complete each degree level. Legal and spiritual ethics as a practitioner of the Transpersonal Approach(TM) and the philosophy of minister in the field of transpersonal development and spiritual counseling is discussed. The student will comprehend the requirements for maintaining their certification as a Minister, Spiritual Counselor and healer as regulated by local and federal governments, as well as the governing principle of SPICA - Way of Light. This covers the morals and ethics each person pursues to be an effective leader. This class is a prerequisite to all others classes and cannot be waived by Advanced Placement Testing.

102:  Foundation of SPICA - Way of Light: Divine Feminine Principle - The spiritual foundation of SPICA - Way of Light through the study of the Divine Feminine principle will be explored. The text, The Faces of WomanSpirit, A Celtic Oracle of Avalon and the Coloring book are used as tools to understand the feminine paradigm. This study places the student on a full lunar-year concept of life. The student will emerge from this class understanding the esoteric meaning of the Divine Feminine Principle of the Universe.

103: Affirmations and Prayer Treatment - Affirmations and Prayer Treatments provide internal and external change in one’s life and spiritual direction. Techniques for using and creating affirmations for self-development will be explored. Techniques for helping others direct their lives Ttoward positive growth and prosperous outcomes will be taught. Prayer treatments, their purpose and use will also be taught in the course.

104:  Meditation, Intuitive Development, and Multi-dimensional Awareness - Meditation is an important aspect of spiritual development, connection with the Inner Voice, and the doorway between physical and nonphysical communication. This course provides techniques for meditation, understanding the philosophies of many spiritual thoughts, i.e., Eastern, Western, Shamanism, and so forth. The student will discover what meditation is, how it assists the balance of the body, mind and spirit, and how one can effectively use it for assisting self and others. The student will be taught how to create a meditation. Also covered in this program is the awareness of thirteen dimensions of consciousness that can be understood through the agency of meditation and intuitive deciphering methods.

105:   Universal Laws, Archetypal Numerology, Colorology, and Correspondences - Exploring the laws of this Universe allows one to understand the principles that direct all experiences in life. The course will teach you the fundamentals of thirty-three laws, how you are using them consciously or not, and how you may directly affect the positive use of the universal principles in your life. Archetypal Numerology will help you comprehend an equation as a key to unlock the meaning of the spiritual, mental, physical and soul level of yourself or another individual. You will see how to use numbers in determining the energy alliance you have with your soul-self through your name. You will also begin using tools for deciphering esoteric levels of consciousness as you study the meanings of color and seek to understand sub-levels of correspondences that are seen in everything you do from a spiritual context of understanding life.

106:  Symbology and Correspondences:  General Overview and use of the deck: Faces of WomanSpirit, A Celtic Oracle of Avalon - Continuing with the basis of the feminine philosophy brought forth through the mystical experiences of the founder of SPICA - Way of Life, the tool of the oracle deck will be used. It will reveal methods for uncovering layers of the unconscious, connections to the esoteric wisdom locked within your unconscious, and the mystical way you are communicating with Source and Source is communicating with you. You will learn how to use this tool to counsel others in discovering their inner wisdom and alliance with Source.

107:  Self Awareness through the Vortices of Light - Chakra wisdom, understanding the vortexual energy connected to each human and Source, and methodology for a Chakra Healing therapy will be taught. The 13-Chakra system will be explored through meditation techniques. The psycho-spiritual awareness of energy flow through each chakra will be understood.

108:  Basic Healing:  SPICA Reiki RADIANCE I (an in-classroom program);  The healing foundation of SPICA - Way of Light is Reiki and is taught to all students. Other modalities are and can be researched. Reiki is an ancient system of energetic healing. It was brought back to the world by Dr. Usui, a Japanese doctor and teacher. It is believed to be a system that was used by Jesus as he performed extraordinary healing.

109:  Inner Dialogue - Self Balance - In this course the student will examine the flow of the unconscious and the sub-ego dialogue that takes place knowingly and unknowingly. The student will learn how to change the negative flow of the unconscious to the Positive Inner Dialogue that enhances Soul expression and purpose. Positive Inner Dialogue creates positive self-confidence and promotes positive action in one’s everyday life.

110:  Angelic Assistance - Students will learn to work with the Celestial realm of consciousness, understand the Light Force and Gifts of Angelic Assistance, and learn to define and understand Angels and their service. Working with angels of health, career, finances, relationships, sacred wisdom, and more, will be taught.

111:  Prelude to Spiritual Astrology - Spiritual Astrology is studied to reveal the sacred union each person has with Source. It reveals the patterns, plans, and imprint of Soul intent. This class will introduce the student to the meaning of Astrology and the first level of understanding their own horoscope.

112: Dream Healing - Alchemical healing comes through the dream time. Learning to decipher the messages and healing power of dreams will be explored in this class. Levels of dreaming will be understood and interpreting the symbols within the dream scape will be explored.

Each class will provide final tests. The graduate of the Bachelors Level must demonstrate an 80% passing grade, or better, for the entire Bachelor’s program.

 

Level Two - Master of Spiritual Philosophy (M.SPh.) and Ministerial Diploma

A Master’s degree in spiritual philosophy and ministry is granted to individuals who have demonstrated their higher-order awareness of the field of study in New Thought - Transpersonal Approach(TM) wisdom. The student will possess a professional status and advanced knowledge in the theoretical and applied topics of SPICA - Way of Light ministry. The student will express a higher order ability to demonstrate their skills in analysis, critical evaluation and professional application of sacred wisdom to be provided in a ministerial setting. Units required to complete the Master’s Level program are one hundred thirty (130).

 

201:  Comparative Religion and the Divine Feminine Principle - All religions and formal spiritual practices carry similarities as well as difference in their tenets. A minister holding the wisdom of myths, rituals, concepts and practices of the world’s spiritual doctrines can aid others in finding the foundation of Truth in the basis of everyone’s search for Source. Metaphors of a Virgin Birth will be studied. The Tree of Life concept, Judea-Christian thoughts, African-centered beliefs, East Indian practices (i.e. Buddhism, Yogi, Hinduism, etc.) Native American bases of life, Asian philosophies and others will be considered.

202:  Advanced Healing: Reiki II and III (an in-classroom program) - Continuing with the healing foundation of SPICA - Way of Light, the student will further their knowledge of Reiki. Learning to use sacred symbols revealing the matrix of purification, soul alignment, and igniting the light of Oneness will be a major focus for this class. Completing the program, the student will advance to a level of attunement in which they can and will perform the Rite of Attunement for others.

203:  Mystical Wisdom and the SPICA - Way of Light Service.   Each SPICA - Way of Light counselor, teacher, and healer explore the wisdom of mystical awareness. Understanding mysticism, living the intentions of a higher alignment with the Divine, and radiating that knowledge to others is a process each student is asked to enhance. The foundation of the wisdom of SPICA - Way of Light evolves out of Sacred Alignment with the Divine Feminine. This process of awareness provides a way of living with unconditional love, giving with an unconditional attitude, and teaching with an intention to help others grow, not advance one’s personal ego-gratification state.

204:  Spiritual Counseling/Coaching - Fundamentals of counseling are necessary for effectively helping others. One must be able to listen, give unbiased spiritual direction, and allow the client the ability to obtain and maintain personal power. The spiritual counselor provides spiritual enlightenment via teaching another how to clear the inner consciousness of personal and ancient wounds as they open to the empowered state of their Higher Self. Also taught in the course is effective grief management. Everyone deals with the death of a loved one. Understanding immediate actions to be taken, options for funerals and memorial services, and coping with emotional upheaval will be covered in this course.

205:  Ceremonial Practices - Every minister is called to perform ceremonies.   This class offers the understanding and methods for performing marriages, baptisms, funerals, inspirational services, and other ceremonies of spiritual significance.   The student will also understand the State forms that are needed to be filed for marriage ceremonies. The student will be required to write a ceremony and present that ceremony at the graduation workshop.

206:  Astrological Applications - Reading a horoscope is the basis of astrology. Learning how to interpret chart(s) for relationship orientation, career development, health and healing, soul purpose and other applications will be the foundation of this class. The student will be given ways and means to uncover the “best days” for spiritual ceremonies, actions such as surgery, signing contracts, entering into marriage, and so forth.

207:  Celestial Demonstrations - Advanced work with Angels - In course 109, the student learned of the angels and their different assisting power. In this class, the student will take that wisdom and focus on ways to purposely call on angels. The student will be given a program to follow for calling on the angels and demonstrate results. They will also be required to create a program for another to follow to advance with the qualities of service from the celestial realms of consciousness.

208:  Conscious Evolution - The SPICA - Way of Light Minister is required to understand the stages of conscious unfoldment. Studies of the most mundane realities of survival to the advancement of conscious union with Source are the theme of this class. The student will realize their position in conscious evolution and how to continue their advancement as well as instruct others to advance in their evolution of spiritual enlightenment.

209:  Effective Speaking, Writing and Spiritual Administration as a Minister - To perform efficiently as a minister and spiritual counselor, one must have a good command of their speaking and writing. Skills will be taught for presenting spiritual insights in written form as well as orating. This will help the student prepare a thesis, write articles and manuscripts for publication, and prepare inspirational services to be spoken. Each minister has the moral and spiritual responsibility of understanding how to organize and support their practice as well as planning for the possibility of running their own, larger organization. This course will cover management of a spiritual organization, and supportive actions that create on-going growth (congregational services, classes, workshops and seminars, etc.) Fees for work performed and other requirements for efficient administration of a business will be covered.

210:  Effective Understanding of Mysticism - The student will be introduced to mysticism and how it is used to understand the language of the Universe, its use for New Thought - Transpersonal Approach(TM)  to interpreting spiritually written material (i.e., the Bible, Poetry, Myths, etc.) and how the student can be aware of their mystical experiences that help them understand their lives in a state of Oneness.

211:  Thesis and Exam - Each student will be required to pass an exam covering both the Bachelor Level and the Master Level of the SPICA - Way of Light University of Divinity programs and philosophy. Also, the student is required to design a class that can be used within the university curriculum, and their own special programs they will provide for their community. A Thesis of 10,000 words is to be submitted in accordance to Student’s strength in a given area of SPICA - Way of Light Philosophy.

212:  Final Exam:  Ministerial Demonstration Workshop and Graduation - A final exam will be given at a Workshop. This will consist of a demonstration of ministerial qualities such as ceremonies to be performed (i.e., wedding, memorial, rite of passage, etc.), healing to be demonstrated, and speaking and writing to be expressed in a teaching mode. At the end of the workshop a graduation ceremony will occur along with a sacred ceremony inducting the student into a Certified Ministerial Status. A Ministerial Diploma, Healing Practitioners Diploma and the M.SPh. Diploma will be conferred. An additional fee is required for this course.

Level Three - Doctor of Divinity (D.D.) Or Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) Specializing In:

The doctorate degree is a research and performance program. The student prepared to move into the doctorate level is required to produce a piece of work conducive of expanded and new information in their field of specialization. This information is to be presented in a doctoral dissertation or a demonstration of a project deemed the equivalent of a dissertation.

The Doctorate of Divinity is an advanced degree in spiritual beliefs. It is bestowed upon a scholar in good standing and distinction in the philosophies of New Thought - Transpersonal Approach(TM) and the spiritual concepts of SPICA - Way of Light. The student must prove proficiency in Level One and Level Two programs of the University of Divinity, as well as demonstrate mastery in the field of their speciality.

Dissertation (30,000 words or more) or an equivalent project are required to complete the Doctor of Divinity level.

Graduation and the conferment of Doctor of Divinity status will be held through a sacred ceremony.

 

*A student may present another theory he or she desires to explore. The Doctoral Committee will take the subject under consideration and will inform the doctoral candidate of acceptance or rejection of the project within 2 weeks after written request is presented.
